VILLAGER INFORMATION

1. Sampler Village is a gathering of crafters and artisans (villagers) who send in samples to be in the Sampler Village Samplicious Sampler Boxes.  We want to give you, your products and your shop the exposure they so much deserve. Sampler Village gets the boxes out to potential buyers that otherwise may have not known about your shop.  Our goal is to give you and your shop a boost in traffic, unlike conventional advertising, potential buyers get to try a sampling of what you have to offer, then come back and purchase products directly from you! 

 
Sampler Village also does extensive conventional advertising for you. You are posted on our website as soon as you sign up, under Newest Villagers (front page for 5 days), you will also be posted under Future Villagers and in the Village Directory. We will have links to your shop on our blog, etsy shop, and in our newsletter. Sampler Village advertises on Google, Google Adwords, Bing, Yahoo, Craft Directories (paid spots), Blogs, Over 200 Top 100 Sites (paid spots), Plugboards, Link Exchanges, we are also featured on many Review Blogs. We have recently started an Etsy Team, with team shop and team blog. Sampler Village has also been hosting giveaways for its Villagers. This is a wonderful way to get traffic directly to your shop! Sampler Village is also on Facebook, Twitter and You Tube. We get your name out there!

2. Once you become a villager (sign up on "Become a Villager" page) you are making an agreement to send in specified amount of samples to Sampler Village on the due date for the month(s) you have selected. Boxes will be put for sale on the 21st of each month. We recommend that you send in a minimum of 20 samples, this gets you in to 20 boxes. The more samples you send, the more boxes you will be in and the more exposure you will get. We are currently selling anywhere between 60-100 boxes each month, this depends on number of villagers we have signed up for that particular month.

3. Sampler Village is free for crafters and artisans. The only cost to you will be your samples and sending them to Sampler Village. You will not receive compensation for your samples. Sampler Village provides the avenue for you to expose your products to many potential buyers. Once you become a villager of the Village your shop gets exposed through extensive advertising done by Sampler Village. You are listed on the Sampler Village website as soon as you sign up, no waiting around until the month you signed up for..we post you right away under Future Villagers page. You will also receive a permanent spot on our Village Directory page.

4. If you can not provide samples after signing up, please contact me as soon as possible as this would effect the boxes. I understand "life" happens and you may not be able to participate, please email me as soon as possible. If this happens continuously though, it can result in exclusion from future boxes.

5. Packaging your samples is very important! INDIVIDUAL SAMPLES NEED TO BE PACKAGED SEPARATELY WITH ALL INFORMATION ATTACHED. Please send in nice size samples so your samples do not get "lost" in the box. All samples should be packaged properly with business card (shop info) or header attached. We do not want loose cards floating around in the box. If you are sending in coupons/gift certificates please package them nicely, make a greeting card or such for each, that would much nicer then the buyer finding your coupons/gift certificate on the bottom of the box. All lotions, creams, scrubs, etc. should be packaged properly so as not have any leakage. *Email me before signing up to send coupons.

6. I will need a banner from you so we can use it as a link to your website (I can resize  your banner for you). This is for Villagers pages, as well as our Village directory, blog, newsletter, you will have a text link placed on etsy and our forum. On the Villagers pages all the crafters will be listed with a banner link and a short description of their shop or products. We will also ask that you place a button banner link on your website or blog back to Sampler Village, this is a button that says you are a participating resident of Sampler Village. We want everyone to know you are a Villager!

7.  Would you like to be "Mayor for a Month" of Sampler Village?

The "Mayor for a Month" villager would send in a predetermined amount of samples plus $25.00 and they will get all these perks for that month!
